A Vision Rooted in Compassion and Growth

The Nazareth House was founded on the belief that every young man and woman deserves a safe space to heal, grow, and find his or her path to independence. We began with a simple vision: to provide more than just a roof over a head, but a community where personal development and professional support meet. Our journey is one of nurturing resilience and fostering the confidence needed for a successful transition into independent living.

Our Founders' Legacy

Guided by years of experience in social services and a deep commitment to the community, we have built a home that reflects the values of integrity and mutual respect. We are dedicated to ensuring that every resident feels seen, heard, and supported in their unique journey.

Our "Why"

Nationwide, 1 out of 10 youth become homeless from age 18 to 25 and 1 out of 30 youth from ages 13 to 17 become homeless annually. In the City of Vallejo alone, more than 900 youth experience homelessness. At the same time throughout the nation, suicide remains the leading causes of death among young people ages 10–24, with alarming increases among even younger children from age 8 to 12 at 8%.

20% of High school students reported seriously attempting suicide and 10% made the attempt. In the United States of America, the LGBTQ(youth) is 40% contemplate suicide.

Among the youth, there is a mental health crisis, extreme economic pressure and identity bottleneck, struggling with anxiety, depression, hopelessness, and social isolation. These pressures have also contributed to rising rates of substance and alcohol abuse.

The Nazareth House was created to be a safe place where young people can find shelter, support, mentorship, healing, and opportunities to build a brighter future. Our mission is to help youth overcome crisis, discover their value and purpose, and thrive in a caring community that promotes mental, emotional, spiritual, and practical well-being.
